The last day to make a 2nd semester schedule change will be NEXT TUESDAY, January 9th.  Please email your counselor if you need to make a change.



There is a Student Council meeting Monday Jan. 8th – 3rd period in A220. 


Any student interested in joining the Science Academic Super Bowl team needs to meet with Mrs. Shepard in D-105 after school next Thursday, Jan. 11th.


Indiana AEOP offers a $1000 scholarship to a student interested in pursuing business.  Deadline is February 5.  

Unigo Scholarship:  Write an essay about I Have a Dream.  Deadline is January 31.  Applications are in counseling area and on google classroom.

There will be a boys track and field meeting regarding conditioning next Wednesday Jan. 10th at 2:50 in the MPR room for approximately 20 minutes. Conditioning starts Tuesday Jan. 16th and will mostly be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.    

Any girl wishing to sell or buy a Prom Dress contact North Harrison HS Saturday Jan. 20th 10am to 2pm.  Bring dresses to sell between 9-9:45. There is a $5 selling fee. If your dress sells you get 90% of sale price.  See the flyer in the guidance office for more details.


Applications for the 2018-2019 Student Mentors will be available in the box outside Mrs. Sowder’s office Jan. 8th – 26th We need CURRENT 10th & 11th graders who are outgoing and caring students who want to have a leadership role. Student mentors will be involved with Freshman Night Out and will be paired with a freshman student to build rapport and help on a daily basis as a CS Leader. You will earn two elective credits and 96 hours of community service for the year. The deadline for the application is January 26th. Accepted applicants will be notified by Feb. 2nd.


Just another reminder that CURRENT 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students need to get 2 Hep A vaccines as required by the time you are a senior. The 2 required doses of Hep A are to be given 6 months apart. Please do not wait until the last minute! Question? Come by the health office.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha(ESA) offers several scholarship opportunities.  The application submission is done online.  Go to www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/scholarships-and-grants to apply.  To find scholarships, click on the current list of ESA scholarships available by state you reside.  Deadline to apply is February 1, 2018.

Nancy Jaynes Scholarship is awarded to a senior whose parent is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. Visitwww.breastcancerplate.org to apply.

Georgetown Lions Club offers a scholarship to seniors with strong volunteerism. Applications are on the Scholarship Board. Deadline is April 2.
