****There will be a meeting for all interested in the Floyd Central Swimming & Diving team today at 2:30 in the Distance Learning Lab.****

FCCM Thursday morning devotional will be cancelled for tomorrow morning, 9/20/18.

SENIORS  ​-  there is a list posted at the front office window as well as the bookstore window with names for the senior t-shirts.    It is very important THAT YOU  check the list and make sure YOUR name is                             spelled correctly and the correct first name is given.  If there are any changes, please see Mrs. Romines at the bookstore no later than tomorrow at the end of the school day.

–   If you still need to place your order with Jostens, See Mrs. Stewart  in the office.

Reminder to those students who are participating in “Learn at Every Turn”, permits to travel are due to Mrs. Sowder by this Friday.

Floyd County 4-H is hosting an Open House on Monday, Sept. 24th, from 5-6:30, at the Fairgrounds. Please pick up a yellow flyer in the counseling department for details.

 

There will be a PSAT/SAT workshop offered over Fall Break.  It will be Monday, October 1st – Wednesday, Oct 3rd from 9am- 12 pm.  It is free to the 1st 60 FC students. Contact Mrs. Cambron at rcambron@nafsc.org or go to room A216

 

​The FCHS Orchestra Fall Concert is this Thursday, the 20th, at 7:00 pm in the FCHS Auditorium. Admission is free. The Symphony Strings will be performing a tribute to American composer/conductor Leonard Bernstein.

September is pediatric cancer awareness month: Football, volleyball and sports medicine are collecting items for Nortons Children’s hospital and will deliver them over fall break.  A list of items is posted on the office window.  Collections will be taken at all football games in September. 

 

Students taking dual credit classes…if you haven’t already applied for dual credit, you must apply ASAP!  Students must be qualified for dual credit by November 1.  That means if you have to take the Accuplacer, you have to have a dual credit application on file before you can be tested.  Teachers have informed students if they need to test for the credit.  If you don’t apply, you will NOT receive credit.  Please go to www.ivytech.edu/dualcreditapplication to apply.  You only need to apply once for all dual credit classes.

Wendysheisman.com offers scholarships to student athletes.  Deadline to apply is November 1.

 

Community Foundation Southern Indiana offers a full tuition scholarship for students.  The Lilly Endowment Scholarship is now available online.  Deadline to apply is September 10 at 12 pm.  Application is all online.  Go to www.cfsouthernindiana.com for more scholarship information.

Georgetown Lions Club Scholarship is available to seniors committed to  volunteerism in the community.  Deadline is April 1, 2019.
