Seniors: Jostens will be here again tomorrow to take graduation orders.  Information packets are still available at the attendance desk.

GSA club will meet this Friday September 14th after school in Mrs. Shaffer’s in room D107. All are welcome!!

Reminder, ring orders are due tomorrow at lunch in the spine.  If you need more information you can pick up a packet at the attendance desk.


*Pick up your success card on Thursday the 13th at lunch in the spine.  All freshman and new students receive a welcome card.

Orders for Senior t-shirts will be taken this week only in the spine during lunch today, tomorrow and Friday.  Seniors please check the list posted on the window of the bookstore to verify your first and last name.

September is pediatric cancer awareness month: Football, volleyball and sports medicine are collecting items for Nortons Children’s hospital and will deliver them over fall break.  A list of items is posted on the office window.  Collections will be taken at all football games in September.


This week is suicide prevention week:  While living your daily lives there will be potholes and it’s your choice whether you run over them or go around.  Either way, you are able to overcome them if you keep your head up high.  If you are struggling, don’t be afraid to talk about it.  And if you are worried about a friend, all you have to do is listen.  Remember to wear yellow tomorrow to shine the light of hope to all FC students.

Students taking dual credit classes…if you haven’t already applied for dual credit, you must apply ASAP!  Students must be qualified for dual credit by November 1.  That means if you have to take the Accuplacer, you have to have a dual credit application on file before you can be tested.  Teachers have informed students if they need to test for the credit.  If you don’t apply, you will NOT receive credit.  Please go to to apply.  You only need to apply once for all dual credit classes.

Floyd Central Christian Ministries Weekly Devotional Meetings are heldThursday mornings at 7:07 in Room C102.  Snacks will be provided.  This a non-denominational event and all are invited!  See Mr. Romig in room B120 with questions.

Scholarship Info offers scholarships to student athletes.  Deadline to apply is November 1.


Community Foundation Southern Indiana offers a full tuition scholarship for students.  The Lilly Endowment Scholarship is now available online.  Deadline to apply is September 10 at 12 pm.  Application is all online.  Go for more scholarship information.

Georgetown Lions Club Scholarship is available to seniors committed to  volunteerism in the community.  Deadline is April 1, 2019.
