Announcements Monday, April 16, 2018

Start planning – On May 2nd, FCA is hosting a tailgate starting at 5 pm behind

the batting cage, next to the parking lot at the baseball facility.  The baseball game begins at 6 pm and the softball game begins at 7 pm.  Come out for

free food and a whiffle ball game.  Sign-ups will be in the spine beginning this Wednesday, April 18th.


Seniors – Please check Graduation Program posted on the Office Window.

Check all lists…. If your name has been omitted or misspelled see Mrs. Stewart ASAP.


Seniors – Jostens will be here this Wednesday at lunch time for your senior deliveries.  Bring your post card with your to school.  If you owe a balance it must be paid that day with Cash, Cashier’s check or money order.  No personal checks accepted.

Seniors – please turn in yellow scholarship forms to Mrs. Simler ASAP….

Reminder – Top 10% of the senior class.  Rotary Banquet is  Thursday,

April 19th   at 6:00 p.m.  at IUS in the Hoosier Room.


Altrusa Scholarship available to senior females pursuing education.  You must have a local scholarship application on file to be eligible for this scholarship.  Deadline is April 19th.


Sunnyside Master Gardeners Association is offering a $1000 scholarship to a senior interested in pursuing horticulture or natural resources.

Deadline is May 1st.


Student of the Month Luncheon is this Wednesday, April 18, in the MPR.  If you got an invitation, come during your lunch period to get cookies, candy, FC goodies and a delicious lunch.  Bring a friend.


Students and Staff if you like to play euchre sign up for the 3rd Annual Euchre Tournament held on April 24, and April 26 in the Media Center immediately after school.  $5 per team or $3 per single.  See Mr. Brogan, Mrs. Cambron, or Mrs. Stewart and pay by Friday, April 20th.


Community Service opportunity.  The Floyd Memorial Foundation needs volunteers to work their Walk to Stop Addiction event on Saturday May 19th.  Also, they need students to make phone calls at their office for 2-4 hours per week for several weeks.  If you are interested in either volunteer activity please see Mr. Clark in Student Services.

All intramural basketball games are cancelled for today.

Congratulations to Junior Hannah Clere, who has been selected as editor-in-chief of the Bagpiper newspaper next school year.

The Men’s Choir and Women’s Choir performed at the ISSMA District Choral Festival this weekend.  Congratulations to The Women’s Choir who received Gold and the Men’s Choir who received Gold with Distinction, the highest award given.

Congratulations to the Girls Track and Field Team as they competed in the Flashes Invitational on Friday and the Midwest Prep Meet on Saturday. The team did awesome at both meets.

Tomorrow  will be extremely busy at the Lower 40.  There will be a Track Meet against Crawford County, North Harrison and Lanesville.  Varsity Baseball will

play against Jennings County.  ALL ATHLETES are to park in the Band practice parking lot and walk down to the lower 40.


TEACHERS – Kevin Boehnlein with Edward Jones will be here on April 25th from 7:00 a.m. until noon.  He will be in the MPR.  Sign up sheet is in the Workroom. IF you are unable to see him in that time frame – please call his office to make other arrangements.

Juniors/Seniors – PROM signups are going on now through May 3rd.  Please go to the Bookstore at lunch time and signup.


There is a girls Golf Team meeting in Coach LaDuke’s classroom C125 right after school today.


The Interact Club is raising funds to donate to Heifer International to help stop world hunger.  Purchase a candy butterfly to send a friend for a donation for $1.00.  Butterfly candy grams will be sold this week in the Spine during Lunchtime.
