FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1ST  ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sophomore Exec will be selling hot cocoa packs for $1 in the spine during lunch next week to benefit Blessings in a Backpack. Buy one for a friend to spread holiday cheer!

 

Registration cards and money are due for the Senior Dinner Dance by Friday, December 8th. Turn in to the Bookstore before school or at lunch. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate this exclusive event with your senior classmates! Seating is limited so don’t delay.

 

Class rings will be delivered NEXT Wednesday, Dec. 6th at lunch in the spine.  The final balance MUST be paid by Cash, Money Order or Cashier’s Checks only.   No personal checks or credit cards accepted.

 

Georgetown Elementary needs volunteers to work their annual Santa’s Workshop this Saturday 8-2:30.  Contact Susan at 502-851-6290 or sus.berryman@gmail.com if you are interested.

 

Art Honor Society’s meeting will be re-scheduled by Ms. Jones. The art sale is Thursday, Dec. 7th after school.

 

There will be a boys’ track meeting after school TUESDAY in the MPR at 2:45 to meet the new coach.

 

Any student who wishes to earn the Flex PE II credit through a sport must fill out a form and have it signed by your coach.  You automatically earn a “B” doing this. If you wish to earn an “A” you have to attend ONE after school session for a final test.  These dates are Dec. 5th, 7th, 12th and 14th. Be in the gym ready to participate by 2:45pm. Test includes push-ups, sit-ups and a mile run.  Forms are available in the office or athletic office.

 

ONLINE Drivers Education sign up packets can be picked up in the Bookstore for anyone wanting to sign up.

AXA achievement scholarship available in the counseling office.  For students with outstanding achievement in school, work and community. Deadline is Dec. 15th 
 
Georgetown Lions Club offers a scholarship to seniors with strong volunteerism. Applications are on the Scholarship Board. Deadline is April 2.

WACE Scholarships available to students interested in co-op education. Many different deadlines, depending on the school. See the scholarship board for details and application.
