Summer Reading

summer reading 2016

Dear Parents and Student:

Your teacher is eagerly anticipating working with you. Part of our academic program is to encourage summer reading, which involves diversity, adversity and is of high interest.

Students will be given a listing of 5 books per grade level and are asked to choose one of those titles to be read by the start of school. The novels per grade level are included in this mailing. Titles with an * next to them are available at the FCHS bookstore. Those with ** next to them can be found for free online.

At least one of the novels per grade level is available at FCHS. Others can be purchased at local bookstores, checked out at the library, or downloaded through Amazon or another provider.

Please be informed you will be held accountable to complete the reading assignment.

If you have any questions or concerns about the content of the reading material, please feel free to contact your current English teacher or an administrator at school.

Thank you,

Floyd Central English Department
