The first meeting of the SASS club will be today in D-105 after school. If you can’t attend see Christy Choe (Cho) for details.
Any student, especiallyfreshmen, wishing to join Student Renaissance for this school year stop by and see Mrs. Hanen in A-110 or Miss Thrasher in C-114. Applications are due THIS FRIDAY Aug. 24. The FIRST meeting is September 6 during 1st period.
Prosser Aviation II students have a flight meeting Wednesday, Aug. 22nd at 6pm at Clark County Airport in the Happs Bldg. If you have questions see your counselor.
Extended Day begins TODAY: Monday, Aug. 20th and every Monday through Thursdays until 4:30 except on **Wednesday’s – the times are 3:30-4:30.
*Science and Social Studies will be on Mondays and Wednesdays;
*English on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
*Math will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Any student that has not picked up last year’s yearbook please do so during lunch in B-105 by Aug. 24th. All unclaimed books will be resold. Starting today you can purchase last year’s yearbook for $60. Please bring the exact amount in cash or check to B-107. There are a limited number of books so stop by early.
Seniors– plan now for to have your personality photos next to your senior portrait. Come to B-105 during lunch with something or dressed something that describes your personality. If you can’t bring something to school make an appointment with Lauren McNeeley. Deadline is Sept. 30th.
National ART HONOR Society applications are due Wednesday, Aug. 22nd with 3 pieces of art to Ms. Higdon.
Parking passes are issued through the athletic office. Stop in the morning or as you leave in the afternoon. Cars will be checked today Monday.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Students interested in attending Washington University in St. Louis, see a counselor to be nominated for the William H. and Elizabeth Gray Danforth Scholars Program for students who have exhibited service and leadership, as well as academic excellence. Deadline for nomination is October 15.
Seniors...The Kevin Hammersmith Memorial Scholarship application is now available in Student Services. This was formerly known as the Harvest Homecoming “Who Wants to be a College Student?” scholarship. The competition takes place at New Albany High School on October 1st at 7 pm. Deadline to apply is Sept. 28th.
Wabash College offers the Top Ten Scholarship Program for males in the top 10% of their class. The scholarship is valued at $70,000 over four years. Students must complete Early Decision application by November 15 or Early Action application by December 1 in order to be eligible.
