Students - Academics - Using your Planner

Floyd Central Planners

plannerEvery student is issued a planner at the beginning of every year. It's very important to keep an organized planner so you can keep organized throughout high school. This is where you can put your homework, hall passes, quiz dates, and daily events so that you can keep up with your homework.

Student Hand Book

In the front of your planner, you can find your student hand book. This is an overview of the school's rules and policies. You can find our academic rules, sports regulations, bell schedule, and other helpful information in this section. The student hand book is divided into multiple sections.

weekly planner Weekly Calendar

For every week, there is a calendar. This is where you put down your assignments, quizzes, tests, events, dates, and other scheduled events. In high school, it's very important that you keep organized, and this is a great way to remember everything. There are three main parts to your weekly planner.

Daily Lines

The place where you can write your homework, quiz dates, test dates, etc. to your planner.

Event Schedule

Located next to the lines, this is where you can find the time of any FC game or event happening that day.

Hall Passes

Hall passes are not a right. A teacher is allowed to limit, restrict, or take away hall passes if they want to. If your teacher allows you to use a hall pass, this is how you fill it out.

Sometimes, along with filling out your planner, your teacher will have you fill out a person hall pass sheet for them. It should be similar to the one in your planner, and you will follow the same steps.

    1. Fill in the date in the Date box.hall pass
    2. Write down the time you leave in the Depart Time box.
    3. Write your destination in the Destination box.
    4. Have the teacher sign off in the Teacher box.
    5. When you get back, mark the time in the Return Time box.
