Prom registration forms are at the BOOKSTORE which begins today and ends Tuesday, May 9.

Prom is 7–11 pm Saturday, May 13th at the Marriott – 280 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, KY 40202

*After prom registration is done by the After Prom Committee. There will be tables during lunch in the spine

starting this week. Registration is $15 for all attendees. A student does not have to go to Prom to attend After

Prom! Junior and seniors only.

A class ring was found in a computer lab – see Mrs. Stewart to claim.

Last call: Josten’s will be here TOMORROW at lunch for those who still owe a balance on their

graduation orders. Bring CASH OR MONEY ORDER.

Mulching at the Mount is cancelled Saturday due to rain and will be rescheduled. See Mr.

Brogan in A-108 if you have questions.

This Friday is the Renaissance Cook Out. Students can go outside for fun and games on

inflatables, prizes, and give-a-ways. Current juniors have a chance to win VIP parking for next

year. Over $200 dollars in gift cards are up for grabs.

All foreign language students are invited to the International Picnic on Thursday, May 4 at

Galena Lamb Park from 3-5pm. Tickets are $4 and purchased by Monday, May 1st

. There will

be friendly competition between languages in the tug of war, dodgeball, and 3-legged races,

plus food, door prizes, and lots of fun. Meat and drinks will be provided, but you need to bring

a culture dish. The winning language will win the coveted International Picnic trophy.

FC will have a sports physical night next Wednesday April 26th from 6-8pm here at FC for only

$25.00. Enter through Door #5.

There will be a book collection in the spine all next week. Bring in spare journals, notebooks

or sketch books to donate to middle school students through Meg’s Mirror Message.

Give back night for After Prom Spirit night will be at Beef O’Brady’s April 27th all day.

POPEYE’S on State Street is now hiring in person or online @ pleaseapplyonline.com/popico.

LifeSpring Foundation of Indiana offers a scholarship to a student planning to study in the mental health or

public service field. An essay is required. Deadline is April 20.

The Grace Group Scholarship is a $1000 award given to students with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Write a letter to

someone at Floyd Central that has had the greatest impact on you and you could win! See the scholarship board

for details. Deadline is May 1st.

STEM Club tutoring is every Wednesday after school in the media center (for Biology, Chemistry, Algebra I & II,

Geometry and Spanish.)

After school Extended Day is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays B-101 2:30 to 4:30pm with teachers.

Mondays: Math & English; Tuesdays: Math & Science & Thursdays: Math, Science & English.

NEW: SCHOLARASHIPS – check the scholarship board for all current scholarships offered.

The FC Alumni Association scholarship is for one male and one female who have relatives that graduated from

Floyd Central. Student must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and have community service. Application is on the

scholarship board. Deadline to turn in application to Mrs. Simler is April 28.

“Student Award Search Aid” website are offering a scholarship for 2017. Visit the website at
