FC Theatre big Announcement – We have been asked by Disney Theatricals and Music Theatre International to produce a pilot production of Newsies, the hit Broadway musical. Disney will be collaborating with us to make final adjustments to the script and score before they officially publish it and release the rights for any school to perform. This will be a unique experience for our students and is an incredible honor for our school. If you are familiar with Newsies, you know that it features a ton of dancing newsboys. The choreography in this show is highly athletic. If you have any students that might be interested in this opportunity, encourage them to come talk to me. We will be offering physical training over the summer for students that want to audition in the fall. Boys that can tumble, are particularly coordinated, or just have a charismatic personality could be a great fit for the show. We will also be casting a number of girls as Newsies so any student in the school is welcome to audition!
Class Night for seniors is Wednesday, May 17th at 7 pm and Class Day is Friday, May 19th at 8 am. Parents/Guardians are invited to both. Students, please check the list often, as there will be additions to the program up to the time of the program. Also, if you have received any other scholarships, please see Mrs. Simler so you can be recognized for it.
